Carillon was a popular game in Hive and much like splinters. One collected pairs or runs of numbered chips and bet money that was placed on one side of a set of scales against a stakeweight. The game stopped when the coins outbalanced the weight and the players had to show their hands. Players needed skill and judgement to predict the tipping point. Hedgethorn Lammergyre was a gambler who loved a game of Carillon.
