Thadeus Quarter's blueprint of a new phraxchamber design with parts of the prototype.
Phraxengineers were engineers that were repairing and maintaining or studying and developing phraxchambers. If employed on phraxships, phraxengineers worked the flight controls in the ship's wheelhouse[1]. Phraxengineers also worked as academics, for example in the School of Flight in Great Glade[2].
Role in the Edge Chronicles[]
Quove Lentis used Great Glade's phraxengineers for his own purposes: Mire-pearlers and phraxengineers drained the Four Lakes and extracted the pearls from the clam beds[2]. Planning the same thing for the Farrow Lake, the Doombringer employed several phraxengineers from the Great Glade Academy of Flight who installed phraxmines to dam the Five Falls[3]. Quove Lentis also planned for his phraxengineers to take apart New Sanctaphrax' cloudcruisers equipped with Fourth Age of Flight-technology. [4]
In battle, enemies like New Sanctaphrax's skymarshals tried to shoot through the wheelhouse window to take out either the phrax captain[5] or the phrax engineer[1].
