The Grey Gorges were located in the Western Woods. They lay beyond the ridges to the south-west of Farrow Lake.[1]
The gorges were traditionally a part of the territory of the Stone Clan of the Hammerhead Nations. In c. 619 ᴇ.ʏ., a gang of mire-pearlers invaded in the area and enslaved the local hammerhead goblins.[1] Soon after, a group of webfoot clam-tenders passed through on their way to the Farrow Ridges. They were harassed by the mire-pearlers and a fight ensued. The webfoots escaped, however the mire-pearlers soon followed them to the Farrow Ridges.[2]
