Hammelhorn steaks were cuts of meat from hammelhorns. They were prized as delicacies among slaughterers[1] and the more refined inhabitants of the Edgeworld, such as Vilnix Pompolnius[2]. When Twig Verginix took part in a slaughterer feast, hammelhorn steaks rolled in seasoned knotroot flour and deep-friend in tilder oil were served[3]. They were also probably covered in blood when uncooked, because when Cowlquape Pentephraxis hurt his hands in Midnight Over Sanctaphrax, they were described like "two raw hammelhorn steaks"[4].
