Marl Mankroyd was High Leaguesmaster before Ruptus Pentephraxis. During the events of Cloud Wolf, Marl Mankroyd ran a cargo of fake gems and coins, as well as real black diamonds, aboard his sky ship, the Great Sky Whale. He was defeated by Wind Jackal and Quint when the sky pirates attacked—and once his slaves were freed—was killed when his ship hurtled into Open Sky.
