Phraxminers were workers who excavated stormphrax in the Phraxmines below the Twilight Woods.
In the Third Age of Flight, the invention of phraxflight, Phrax Weapons and other stormphrax-powered inventions led to stormphrax being for the entire Edgeworld. To obtain it, phraxmines were built on the western edge of the Twilight Woods. Phraxmining was a delicate business, as small differences in the lightening or too much force could lead to dangerous explosions. Phraxminers also lived very close to the mind-beguiling Twilight Woods. Inhaling phraxdust daily over some time would also lead to a disease known as the Phraxlung. Despite these health risks, the work was hoped to be a quick way to make money.
