Sigbord was a flat-head goblin who appeared in The Curse of the Gloamglozer and The Winter Knights. He was captain of the Sanctaphrax Treasury Guard, and maintained rigid order in and below the city.
Role in the Edge Chronicles[]
During the events of The Curse of the Gloamglozer, Sigbord coordinated the ceremonies on Treasury Day with the Professors of Light and Darkness. Later, during the events of The Winter Knights, Sigbord was bribed by Clud Mudskut and Spedius Heepe to allow their Hall Master, Philius Embertine, to steal stormphrax from the Treasury Chamber, in return for six high-quality breastplates forged by Stope. Shortly thereafter, Daxiel Xaxis tortured Sigbord and forced him to falsely confess greater collusion in the incident, and the Gatekeepers began to usurp power from the Treasury Guard. During the Battle of the Knights Academy, Sigbord got his revenge on Daxiel Xaxis, stabbing him through the heart and ending the battle.
