Sweetwoods were trees with buoyant wood, found in the Deepwoods, and were mentioned in Clash of the Sky Galleons. It was used in the woodtroll delicacy, sweetwood cookies. In the Third Age of Flight, Arboris Helquix wrote a treatise on sweetwood; soon afterwards, in the introduction of The Lost Barkscrolls, an unnamed librarian apprentice looked for the treatise in order to complete his study of buoyant wood.
