The Loftus Observatory
The Loftus Observatory was the tallest tower in Sanctaphrax. At the very top of the tower was a giant telescope for observing the skies. This telescope could see far out into open sky, and long distances over the Deepwoods, since it was situated at the highest point in the Edge, apart from Riverrise. Below the telescope was a room filled with equipment representing every academic discipline in the floating city, even minor institutes such as the Department of Psycho-Climatic Studies.
