The Treasury Chamber was a large room in the center of the Heartrock of Sanctaphrax, where stormphrax was stored. In the absolute darkness of the treasury, the stormphrax became immensely heavy - heavy enough to anchor down the Sanctaphrax rock, preventing it from breaking its moorings and drifting off into Open Sky forever. The Treasury chamber was visited once in a year on Treasury Day.

The Treasury Chamber originally functioned as the Earth-Scholars' Great Laboratory, until the Sky-Scholars cast them out of Sanctaphrax during the Great Purges.
