This young apprentice was in the Librarians Academic and lived in the Third Age of Flight. During their apprenticeship, they worked on a study of buoyant wood.[1]
Role in The Lost Barkscrolls[]
In the introduction of The Lost Barkscrolls, the apprentice went to the New Great Library of the Free Glades, seeking out Arboris Helquix's recently published treatise on the properties of sweetwood trees—from woodgrain to leaf shape as well as the buoyancy of its timber. In accessing the treatise, the apprentice hoped to be able to complete his study on buoyant wood. When he reached the scroll-holder labelled "sweetwood", he found the four lost barkscrolls instead.[1]
Behind the scenes[]

Zelphyius Dax, the librarian who may have been this character.
This apprentice could possibly be Zelphyius Dax, as he discovered at least one of the four Lost Barkscrolls as a young librarian.[2]
